Fly ladybird fly...

For those that have followed my blog for a while you may remember my Halloween nail art failure, I’ll admit I’m terrible at nail art. I don’t have steady hands and I have no attention to detail. However i thought i would give it another go and attempt ladybird (ladybug?) nails. They looked so simple, even i couldn't get it wrong? A little bit messy but i will get there.

So fun and creative, I’m going to try doing some more nail art. If anybody has some easy tutorials then drop me a link in the comments below. Anything pretty and easy and I will give it a go =]

Also thinking about buying a nail art pen to make it easier, any recommendations?

Stamped and Branded

Necklace, trousers and ring curtsy of Father Christmas (aka mother dearest). Top new look and cardigan Primark. Nails painted in collection 2000 crackle effect.

Sorry about the wrinkly trousers, I suppose that’s what happens when you have been sitting around all day! Serves me right for being so lazy. The trousers are a lovely burgundy colour (my favourite colour this season). They haven't photographed very well but they look so nice in person.

My favourite part of the outfit has to be the necklace, growing up with a slightly unusual name I was always jealous of girls coming to school with their named accessories. Try finding a pen, bracelet ect with the name Tanesha on... it’s not an easy task! So when I received this little beauty in my stocking I was more than chuffed! Thank you mummy =]

I'm not sure why I look so pasty and ill, I’m feeling fine I assure you.

I took the Maybelline 7 day strong challenge...

The hunt for the perfect nail varnish is most certainly not easy! There may be a huge selection of colours but how durable are most of them? I won’t lie although I love painting my nails; I don't want to do it every day. But who wants to walk around with chipped nail varnish?

I'm always on the hunt for a durable nail polish that will last so when I received a pretty little bottle of Maybelline forever strong [up to 7 days wear] I thought it might be the one.

Day One
Maybelline forever strong in couture grey and finished with Maybelline express finish in flash cosmic

The colour of this polish was lovely, I love a grey polish and this one fit the bill perfectly! The glitter topcoat finished it off perfectly.

Day two

Day two and the disappointment started... difficult to see in the above picture but it had already started to chip on the edges! Not a good sign.

Day three

I think the picture speaks for its self here... not very impressive. But I will admit to being at work on day three, and rarely does nail varnish survive work. Don’t ask me why, I work on a till? Surely nail varnish can survive the tapping of a few buttons?

My final verdict

Lovely colour, fast drying time and a nice thick consistency. However the wear of the product was disappointing.

Has anyone actually managed to make this product last up to 7 days?
