Simply Studded

Shirt: Boohoo, Jeans: Primark, Shoes: London Rebel via Asos

Hello to my lovely new followers this week! Firstly I want to say thank you so much to everyone that takes the time to read and follow my blog. It really does mean a lot. And secondly where has all off the sunshine gone? Our summer can't be over already can it?!

Now onto my outfit, I'm sure most of you will note the similarity between my shirt and the Zara version everyone is wearing. I got mine from Boohoo for £25 and I love it, I love that the sleeves have studs on as well! I kept the rest of my outfit simple with skinny jeans and flats. Shirts and skinny jeans have become my staple go to outfit, it’s just so easy to wear and throw on in the morning plus I find shirts and blouses super comfy.

Lastly the Max Factor Lip Artistry competition is ending soon so please go over and vote for my look! It really would mean the world to me. Plus if you vote you could win one of 100 flipsticks Max Factor is giving away! So go over and vote, please? (you can vote here Max Factor Flipstick

Little Blue

Dress: Primark, Shoes: London Rebel via Asos

Hello chicks! I hope all of my lovely UK readers have been enjoying the lovely sunshine, summer has finally arrived. I really wish I didn't have to work so much and I could just spend all day in the sunshine... applying factor 50 sun-cream off course; nothing more unattractive than a walking lobster!

This blue dress is one of those things you can just grab and put on, it’s so easy and effortless. Perfect for a summers day. I paired it with my leopard print spiked shoes to add a little edge to the outfit. Sorry that I don't have a close up of the shoes (bad blogger) I promise to include one next time I wear them it’s just so difficult taking photos in the sunshine.

What have you all been doing in this glorious weather?

Whats black and white and red all over?

Shirt: Asos, Jeans: Primark, Shoes: Boohoo

Sorry for the lack of posts, I'm not going to make a list of excuses but I do have lots of posts coming your way! I have gone a little crazy with online shopping in the last two weeks, there are so many amazing things in the sale it would be rude not to!

This blouse is one of my favourite things that I have purchased in the sale; it was a bargain at only £17.50 and is an amazing penguin print. Penguins are my favourite animal; I fell in love with them after watching frozen planet. Anyone else see the episode where the penguin kept stealing the pebbles from the other penguins? Annoyingly the fabric for the blouse wrinkles so easily!

I finally caved and got myself a pair of flatforms, I would love to say that they are super comfy like everyone else says but sadly these shoes have torn my feet to pieces (lovely image for you there) I've gone and got myself a pair of heel grips so fingers crossed that helps!

I would love to see what everyone else has been buying in the sales so send me your links!

A little bit of Peplum

Top: Topshop (available here), Jeans: Tesco, Shoes: Topshop (available here), Clutch: Primark

Hello my lovelies, another outfit post featuring my mint jeans from Tesco. Although I completely love these jeans I've had a little bit of a problem with them this week, I'm pretty sure they keep growing... o yes magic growing jeans! I nearly didn't wear them because they have become so huge on me but with a belt there not too bad.

I got this top the other week and I love it, it’s my first peplum piece and I love the shape and style of it. It’s so comfy and a really good quality piece from Topshop considering its only £18! Complete bargain for the quality of the top as far as I'm concerned.

Right now onto my Tuesdays Newbie, this week as you may have noticed I didn't include a Tuesdays Newbie. The main reason for this is because I'm starting to lose track of everyone that wants to take part, I'm getting comments, emails, tweets, facebook messages and when it’s all coming through different social networks its extremely difficult to manage. Also I'm not sure if people want to read them anymore, the posts aren't getting as many comments or readers as my other posts. So I'm handing it over to you... do you want me to carry on doing them? I am perfectly happy to carry on doing them for the rest of my blogging life if it’s what you want, just let me know!

Secondly, if you do want to be a Tuesday Newbie then please email me your blog post. It makes it a lot easier and I am less inclined to forget about you if you email me!

Hope your all having a lovely week.

Lip Artistry

Night Look

Night- Fishnets are the peak of sex appeal so I decided to transfer the fishnet print onto my lips for the ultimate modern twist! Who knew fishnets could make such a great stencil?

Day Look

Day- I took inspiration from one of the biggest trends at the moment, Ombre. Ombre isn't just for hair and clothes, why not try it on your lips too!

A few of you might remember me mentioning that I had entered Max Factors lip artistry competition to celebrate the launch of their new Flipstick range. You can see my original looks here that I created for the first round. I don't think I mentioned it on here but I made it to the final 10 (now 9?), Max factor are now handing over the power to you lovely people to vote for your favourite looks.

I know I keep asking for you to vote for me in things lately, and I do apologise for this but of course I would appreciate any votes I did get from you lovely people. To vote all you need to do is sign into facebook and go onto Max Factors UK page here there is then a link to the flipstick competition at the top of the page. You have to click the vote button on each look to see the second day time look.

I really enjoyed creating these looks, although I did find it a harder challenge using only the flipstick colours.

Sorry for my lack of posts in the last week I am having a few camera problems and Jessops are being less then helpful!

Fashion Flop

Shirt: Asos, Skirt: Topshop, Bow Tie (hairclip): Primark, Shoes: Topshop

This outfit scares me slightly, It's not the fact that my skirt is most certainly small or the fact that I'm wearing a hair clip as a bow tie (In fact I felt rather smug at my creativity there!) but I can’t help feeling like a member of X-factors girl group Little Mix in this outfit. All that's missing is a pair of high top sneakers and I'm pretty sure the band would accept me as one of their own!

Now I'm not insulting the fashion choices Little Mix make but as a 21 year old (semi) professional writer it’s not the look I really wanted! I think a little part of me was trying to be cool and quirky but sadly I look a little lost on the fashion front.

So sorry to my lovely readers I think I made a fashion flop. What do you think? Quirky or should i hang my mini skirt up for good?

Tuesdays Newbie #5

Disclaimer: This post has not been written by me and all images are copyright of  from Brigitte from Miss DeVious Diva.

I'm Brigitte and I hail from the wild wild West Coast, more specifically Southern California. I rap and post freestyles on Youtube. I love hip hop. I'm also into nail art, beauty, makeup and fashion. I guess I just kinda love all things pretty and cute.

I started blogging as a way to display my nail designs. I was inspired by other nail bloggers out there and it's a nice way to remember designs long after they've chipped off. I love writing, writing lyrics to me is soothing, but I also love writing in general, so my blog gives me a way to let me be creative with that.

My blog is a bit focused on nail art at the moment, but sometimes I do outfit posts and FOTDs. I also post new videos when I upload them. I've always thought art imitates life, so if there's something I'm really feelin' then I'll probably blog about it!

Thanks! :]

As a girl You have set your heart On haunting me forever

Jacket: Dorothy Perkins, Tunic: Topshop (available here), Studded flats: Topshop (available here)

The weather has been so miserable today so I took the opportunity to wear my leather jacket. Last year I lived in my leather jacket but this year I've rarely worn it and I don't think I've even featured it on my blog before!

I've been on a little bit of an online shopping spree in the last week picking up the tunic and studded ballet flats, I'm in love with the shoes I love the edgy twist on a the classic ballet flat. Expect to see these a lot in my upcoming outfit posts.

Now my lovely amazing followers, have I told you how great you are lately? I have a favour to ask you. Please follow this link here and like, comment, pin, tweet ect my looks to give me the chance to blog for look magazine! It would be such an amazing opportunity and I would love to win.

Elvive: Extraordinary Oil

I purchased this oil a few weeks ago in an attempt to fix some of my split ends and add some moister into my hair. Before I started this blog I use to dye my hair an awful lot, from brown to blonde back to brown and even red and purple! As I'm sure you can guess this has left my hair dry and in horrible condition.

I've been applying this onto damp hair directly after I've washed it, I'm pretty sure it says somewhere that you only need a pea sized amount but I've been going slightly overboard and covering my ends in it.

But does it work?

Initially I noticed my hair seemed a lot less tangled when brushing and my split ends a lot less prominent. This seems to slowly be helping to bring my hair back to life, I won’t lie and say it’s a miracle cure but it’s the closest I've found! My hair feels so much softer and genuinely like hair again rather than straw! I've used a few hair oils and this one is my favourite so far, it even beats the Moroccan oil in my opinion! For starters it’s cheaper and secondly the results seem more long lasting.

If you have dry and damaged hair then I recommend heading to your local drugstore and grabbing a bottle, it’s not completely cheap averaging on £10 in most stores but you get a lot for your money!

Chubby cheeks

Top and Shoes: Newlook, Cardigan and Tights: Primark, Skirt: Vintage

Sorry for the poor quality outfit photos and the lack of posts this week, I have been working so much over time that when i get home i just want to sleep! I wore this outfit out for a meal with my boyfriend, we go out for dinner A LOT for a couple so I have a tendency to dress rather casual now (you cant expect me to dress up every week now can you?)

I've had this skirt for a while, some of you long term followers might remember it from my post here but this was actually the first time I've ever worn it out. Every time i put it on it never usually looks right so i take it off instantly. But this week I have fallen in love with it all over again! The fabric is such lovely quality, the pleats stay in place all day and it's vintage so I'm bound to love it!

Hope you have all had a lovely weekend
