Christmas lights

I'm sure a lot of you have seen these DIY nails around Pinterest and the web, I thought the idea of creating Christmas lights nail art was too cute not to do at this time of the year. If you want to create the look yourself here's how I did it.

1: Use two coats of white nail polish and wait patiently for it to dry.
2: Apply a clear top coat.
3: While the topcoat is still sticky apply the thread in your desired shape and pattern.
4. Once the topcoat has dried use your red or green nail polish/nail art pens to create your lights.
5: Wait to dry and then finish with one final layer of top coat and voila!

I think it would be amazing to use a glow in the dark nail polish over the lights so your lights actually light up! If i do this nail art again next year I will be grabbing myself a glow in the dark nail polish to complete the look.

Only 6 days to Christmas guys, are you excited? I know I certainly am! I've finally started wrapping my Christmas presents, every year I leave it until last minute and end up spending hours on Christmas Eve wrapping them. This year I actually want to enjoy my Christmas Eve so I'm attempting to complete them all as soon as possible. Today I have learnt 3 crucial things about Christmas wrapping. 1, sticky tape and hair do not mix, if you are clumsy like me tie your hair up to avoid getting in a sticky knot (not fun, trust me!) everyone will be receiving a little bit of my hair stuck to their present this year. 2, don't let your dog near the wrapping paper! I lost nearly a whole sheet due to Poppies curiosity and 3 listening to Christmas songs makes the whole experience a lot more fun!

I always get my hair caught up in the sellotape too when wrapping lol.

  5. Wow! I can't believe you did this yourself! Your nails look amazing! You're a pro =) You should start offering nail services!

I'd like to do something like this to my nails. However, I'm not a great nail painter so I get frustrated easily. You should see me trying to paint my own nails! One time I redid my nails about 15 times until I got them perfect!

Christmas Eve is tomorrow! Enjoy ♥
